Welcome to Tricorn House, a new collection of 44 modern one-bedroom apartments in Cainscross, Stroud. Designed for easy everyday living, these homes offer contemporary kitchens, stylish bathrooms, bright living areas and practical layouts. Some apartments include an additional room, giving you extra flexibility for a home office, media room, gaming space, hobby room, playroom or calm little corner of your own.

44 homes. One clear opportunity.

Tricorn House offers a full collection of one-bedroom apartments, with a range of layouts and sizes. Some are classic one-bedroom homes, while others provide extra room to shape around your lifestyle.

Markets, makers and proper local flavour

Stroud is known for its market culture. The Farmers’ Market brings local produce, food, growers and makers into the town every Saturday, while the Shambles adds a long-standing market-town feel.

Food, shopping and entertainment at Five Valleys

Five Valleys is one of Stroud’s key town-centre destinations, with independent retailers, national brands, an indoor food market, street food, local services, a Vue cinema and Stroud Bowl.

Live music, culture and community

The Subscription Rooms, known locally as The Sub Rooms, is a historic Georgian venue hosting music, films, exhibitions, workshops and events. Stroud Town Council describes it as a leading entertainment venue originally built by public subscription in 1833.

Green space is part of the lifestyle

The Stroud Valleys Trail is a 5-mile National Cycle Network route connecting Stonehouse to Nailsworth, following the line of the old Midland Railway and offering a largely traffic-free alternative to busy roads.

Cainscross convenience, Stroud character

You are close to local shops, bus links, road routes, walking and cycling options, while Stroud town centre adds markets, independent food, arts, music, shops and green space.

Tricorn House has long been a prominent building in Cainscross. Stroud District Council records that it was built in the early 1970s, formerly used as a government DHSS office, vacated in 1996, and has now been converted into 44 residential apartments.

What the area offers

Living at Tricorn House puts you in Cainscross, close to Stroud’s daily essentials and within easy reach of the town’s independent, creative and outdoorsy rhythm. This is a place where a quick shop, a Saturday market, a coffee, a cinema trip, a canal walk and a hillside view can all sit comfortably in the same weekend.

Stroud Town Council highlights weekly Shambles markets and Stroud Farmers’ Market, alongside arts festivals, craft trails and workshops. Stroud Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday from 9am to 2pm with over 50 stalls each week, while Five Valleys offers shopping, food, family entertainment, bowling and a six-screen cinema.
